পবিত্র এই সিন্দুকটি রাখার জন্য আমি মন্দিরের ভেতর একটা জায়গা রেখেছি| ঐ পবিত্র সিন্দুকের ভেতরে প্রভুর সঙ্গে আমাদের পূর্বপুরুষদের য়ে চুক্তি হয়, তা রাখা আছে| আমাদের পূর্বপুরুষদের মিশর থেকে নিয়ে আসার সময়, প্রভু তাদের সঙ্গে এই চুক্তি করেছিলেন|”

এই অংশে ছিল ধূপ জ্বালাবার জন্য সোনার বেদী ও চুক্তির সেই সিন্দুক, যার চারপাশ ছিল সোনার পাতে মোড়া৷ এর মধ্যে ছিল সোনার এক ঘটিতে মান্না ও হারোণের ছড়ি, য়ে ছড়ি মুকুলিত হয়েছিল; আর পাথরের সেই দুই ফলক যার ওপর নিয়ম চুক্তির শর্ত লেখা ছিল৷
