তাই, অহসিয় আহাব পরিবারের লোকদের কুপরামর্শ অনুযায়ীজীবনযাপন করত| তাদের পরামর্শতেই অহসিয় রামোত্-গিলিয়দে আহাবের পুত্র য়োরামের সঙ্গে অরামীয় রাজা হসায়েলের সঙ্গে যুদ্ধ করতে যান, যেখানে তিনি আহত হয়েছিলেন

য়োরাম ছিলেন আহাবের পরিবারের সদস্য| অহসিয় য়োরামকে নিয়ে রামোত্-গিলিয়দে অরামের রাজা হসায়েলের সঙ্গে যুদ্ধ করতে গিয়ে আহত হন| অরামের রাজা হসায়েলের বিরুদ্ধে যখন তিনি যুদ্ধ করেছিলেন, অরামীয়রা রামোতে তাঁকে আহত করেছিলেন| সেই আঘাত থেকে সেরে ওঠার জন্য

আহাব যিহোশাফটকে জিজ্ঞেস করলেন, “আপনি কি আমার সঙ্গে রামোত্-গিলিয়দ আক্রমণ করতে যাবেন?” যিহোশাফট, আহাবকে উত্তর দিয়েছিলেন, “আপনার আর আমার মধ্যে কোনো পার্থক্য় নেই, আমার প্রজারা তো আপনারও প্রজা| আমরা অবশ্যই আপনার সঙ্গে যুদ্ধে য়োগ দেব|”

রথ বাহিনীর সেনাপতিরা প্রথমে যিহোশাফটকে দেখে ভাবলেন, “ঐ বুঝি ইস্রায়েলের রাজা আহাব!” তারা সকলে মিলে যেই যিহোশাফটকে আক্রমণ করতে গেল যিহোশাফট সাহায্যের জন্য প্রভুকে চিত্কার করে ডাকলেন| ঈশ্বর রথের সেনাপতিদের অভিমুখ য়িহোশাফটের দিক থেকে ঘুরিযে দিলেন|

ভাব্বাদী হনানির পুত্র যেহূ য়িহোশাফটের সঙ্গে দেখা করতে গেলেন| তিনি যিহোশাফটকে বললেন, “আপনি কেন যেসব ব্যক্তিরা প্রভুকে ঘৃণা করেন সেই সমস্ত অসত্ ব্যক্তিদের সাহায্য করেছেন? এ কারণেই প্রভু আপনার ওপর রুদ্ধ হয়েছেন|
