দায়ূদ যাজককে বললেন, “না, এরকম কোন ব্যাপার নেই|” যুদ্ধে যাবার সময় এবং সাধারণ কাজের সময়ও তারা তাদের দেহগুলিকে শুদ্ধ রাখে| তাছাড়া এখন আমরা একটি বিশেষ কাজে এসেছি, সুতরাং অশুদ্ধ থাকার প্রশ্নই ওঠে না|”

யூதா இஸ்ரவேலுக்கு முன்பாக முறிந்து, அவரவர் தங்கள் கூடாரங்களுக்கு ஓடிப்போனார்கள்.
And Judah was put to the worse before Israel, and they fled every man to his tent.

And Judah	וַיִּנָּ֥גֶף	wayyinnāgep	va-yee-NA-ɡef
was put to the worse	יְהוּדָ֖ה	yĕhûdâ	yeh-hoo-DA
before	לִפְנֵ֣י	lipnê	leef-NAY
Israel,	יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל	yiśrāʾēl	yees-ra-ALE
