Acts 21:27
সাতদিন প্রায় শেষ হয়ে এসেছে, এমন সময় এশিয়া দেশের কয়েকজন ইহুদী মন্দিরের মধ্যে পৌলকে দেখতে পেয়ে তাঁর বিরুদ্ধে নানা কথা বলে লোকদের উত্তেজিত করে তুলল, আর পৌলকে ধরে চিত্কার করে বলতে লাগল,

থিষলনীকীয় ইহুদীরা যখন শুনতে পেল য়ে পৌল বিরয়াতে ঈশ্বরের বাক্য প্রচার করছেন, তখন তারা সেখানে এসে লোকদের ক্ষেপিয়ে তুলল৷

কিন্তু ইহুদীদের মনে ঈর্ষা জাগল৷ তারা কিছু দুষ্ট প্রকৃতির লোককে বাজার থেকে জোগাড় করল; আর এইভাবে একটা দল তৈরী করে শহরে গণ্ডগোল বাধিয়ে দিল৷ তারা লোকসমক্ষে পৌল ও সীলকে দাঁড় করানোর জন্য যাসোনের বাড়িতে চড়াও হয়ে সেখানে তাঁদের খুঁজতে লাগল৷
Acts 14:19
এই ঘটনার পর ইকনিয় ও আন্তিয়খিয়া থেকে কয়েকজন ইহুদী এসে লোকদের পৌলের বিরুদ্ধে প্ররোচিত করল৷ তারা পৌলের ওপর পাথর ছুঁড়ল, তাঁকে টেনে এনে শহরের বাইরে নিয়ে গেল৷ তারা মনে করল পৌল বুঝি মারাই গেছেন৷

তখন অইহুদীরা ও ইহুদীরা তাদের সমাজপতিদের সঙ্গে এক হয়ে পৌল ও বার্ণবাকে অপমান করে পাথর মেরে হত্যা করার পরিকল্পনা করল৷

কিন্তু কিছু ইহুদীরা বিশ্বাস করল না এবং তারা ভাইদের বিরুদ্ধে অইহুদীদের ক্ষেপিয়ে তুলল৷

এইভাবে তারা জনসাধারণ, ইহুদী নেতাদের ও ব্যবস্থার শিক্ষকদের উত্তেজিত করে তুলত৷ তারা এসে স্তিফানকে ধরে নিয়ে মহাসভার সামনে হাজির করল৷

‘কিন্তু এসব ঘটনা ঘটার আগে, তারা তোমাদের গ্রেপ্তার করবে, তোমাদের প্রতি নির্য়াতন করবে৷ তারা বিচারের জন্য তোমাদের সমাজ-গৃহে সঁপে দেবে ও তোমাদের কারাগারে ভরবে৷ আমারই কারণে তারা তোমাদের রাজাদের ও রাজ্যপালদের সামনে টেনে নিয়ে যাবে৷
