2 Samuel 12:18
সপ্তম দিনে, শিশুটি মারা গেল| শিশুটি যে মারা গেছে এ কথা দায়ূদের ভৃত্যরা দায়ূদকে বলতে ভয় পেল| তারা বলল, “দেখ, শিশুটি যখন বেঁচ্ছেিল তখন আমরা দায়ূদের সঙ্গে কথা বলার চেষ্টা করেছিলাম| তিনি কিন্তু আমাদের কথা শুনতে চান নি| যদি আমরা বলি যে শিশুটি মারা গেছে, হয়তো তিনি নিজের ক্ষতি করবেন|”

| day, | הַשְּׁבִיעִ֖י | haššĕbîʿî | ha-sheh-vee-EE |
| that the child | וַיָּ֣מָת | wayyāmot | va-YA-mote |
| died. | הַיָּ֑לֶד | hayyāled | ha-YA-led |
| And the servants | וַיִּֽרְאוּ֩ | wayyirĕʾû | va-yee-reh-OO |
| David of | עַבְדֵ֨י | ʿabdê | av-DAY |
| feared | דָוִ֜ד | dāwid | da-VEED |
| to tell | לְהַגִּ֥יד | lĕhaggîd | leh-ha-ɡEED |
| him that | ל֣וֹ׀ | lô | loh |
| child the | כִּי | kî | kee |
| was dead: | מֵ֣ת | mēt | mate |
| for | הַיֶּ֗לֶד | hayyeled | ha-YEH-led |
| they said, | כִּ֤י | kî | kee |
| Behold, | אָֽמְרוּ֙ | ʾāmĕrû | ah-meh-ROO |
| child the while | הִנֵּה֩ | hinnēh | hee-NAY |
| was | בִֽהְי֨וֹת | bihĕyôt | vee-heh-YOTE |
| yet alive, | הַיֶּ֜לֶד | hayyeled | ha-YEH-led |
| we spake | חַ֗י | ḥay | hai |
| unto | דִּבַּ֤רְנוּ | dibbarnû | dee-BAHR-noo |
| not would he and him, | אֵלָיו֙ | ʾēlāyw | ay-lav |
| hearken | וְלֹֽא | wĕlōʾ | veh-LOH |
| unto our voice: | שָׁמַ֣ע | šāmaʿ | sha-MA |
| how | בְּקוֹלֵ֔נוּ | bĕqôlēnû | beh-koh-LAY-noo |
| will he then himself, | וְאֵ֨יךְ | wĕʾêk | veh-AKE |
| vex | נֹאמַ֥ר | nōʾmar | noh-MAHR |
| tell we if | אֵלָ֛יו | ʾēlāyw | ay-LAV |
| מֵ֥ת | mēt | mate | |
| him that the child | הַיֶּ֖לֶד | hayyeled | ha-YEH-led |
| is dead? | וְעָשָׂ֥ה | wĕʿāśâ | veh-ah-SA |
| רָעָֽה׃ | rāʿâ | ra-AH |
