1 Kings 21:6
আহাব বললেন, “আমি য়িষ্রিযেলের নাবোতকে ওর জমিটা আমায় দিয়ে দিতে বলেছিলাম| তার বদলে ওকে পুরো দাম দিতে বা আরেকটা জমি দিতে আমি রাজি আছি| কিন্তু নাবোত আমাকে ওর জমি দেবে না বলে দিয়েছে|”

Esther 5:9
হামন সেদিন রাজার বাড়ী থেকে খুবই খুশি মনে ও আনন্দিত চিত্তে আসছিলেন, কিন্তু রাজতোরনের সামনে মর্দখয়কে দাঁড়িয়ে থাকতে দেখে তিনি খুব রেগে গেলেন| তিনি যখন পাশ দিয়ে গেলেন তখন মর্দখয় মাথা নীচু করলেন না বা হামনকে সম্মান দেখালেন না| তিনি হামনকে কখনও ভয় পেতেন না আর এ ব্যপারে হামন খুব রুদ্ধ ছিলেন|

এরপর মর্দখয় আবার রাজদ্বারেই ফিরে গেলেন কিন্তু অপমানিত হামন লজ্জায বাড়ি ফিরে এলেন| বাড়ি ফিরে এসে লজ্জায ও অপমানে মুখ ঢাকলেন|
