இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரே, நீங்கள் எனக்கு எத்தியோப்பியரின் புத்திரரைப்போல் இருக்கிறீர்கள் அல்லவோ என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்; நான் இஸ்ரவேலை எகிப்துதேசத்திலிருந்தும், பெலிஸ்தரைக் கப்தோரிலிருந்தும், சீரியரைக் கீரிலிருந்தும் கொண்டுவரவில்லையோ?

1 Give unto the Lord, O ye mighty, give unto the Lord glory and strength.

2 Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.

3 The voice of the Lord is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the Lord is upon many waters.

4 The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty.

5 The voice of the Lord breaketh the cedars; yea, the Lord breaketh the cedars of Lebanon.

6 He maketh them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young unicorn.

7 The voice of the Lord divideth the flames of fire.

8 The voice of the Lord shaketh the wilderness; the Lord shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh.

9 The voice of the Lord maketh the hinds to calve, and discovereth the forests: and in his temple doth every one speak of his glory.

10 The Lord sitteth upon the flood; yea, the Lord sitteth King for ever.

11 The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace.

பெலிஸ்தரையெல்லாம் பாழாக்கவும், தீருவுக்கும் சீதோனுக்கும் மீதியான சகாயரையெல்லாம் சங்காரம்பண்ணவும் வருகிற நாளிலே இப்படியாகும்; கப்தோர் என்னும் கடற்கரையான தேசத்தாரில் மீதியாகிய பெலிஸ்தரையும் கர்த்தர் பாழாக்குவார்.

நான் தமஸ்குவின் தாழப்பாளை உடைத்து, குடிகளை ஆவேன் என்னும் பள்ளத்தாக்கிலும், செங்கோல் செலுத்துகிறவனைப் பெத்எதேனிலும் இராதபடிக்குச் சங்காரம்பண்ணுவேன்; அப்பொழுது சீரியாவின் ஜனங்கள் கீருக்குச் சிறைப்பட்டுப்போவார்கள் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

கர்த்தர் அவர்களை இவர்களுக்கு முன்பாக அழியப்பண்ண, இவர்கள் அவர்களைத் துரத்திவிட்டு, அவர்கள் இருந்த ஸ்தானத்திலே குடியேறினார்கள்.

ஏலாமியன் அம்பறாத்தூணியை எடுத்து, இரதங்களோடும் காலாட்களோடும் குதிரைவீரரோடும் வருகிறான்; கீர் கேடகத்தை வெளிப்படுத்தும்.

நான் இஸ்ரவேலின் பரிசுத்தரும், உன் இரட்சகருமாயிருக்கிற உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர்; உன்னை மீட்கும்பொருளாக எகிப்தையும், உனக்கு ஈடாக எத்தியோப்பியாவையும் சேபாவையும் கொடுத்தேன்.

இதோ, நாட்கள் வரும்; அப்பொழுது விருத்தசேதனமில்லாதவர்களோடுங்கூட விருத்தசேதனமுள்ள யாவரையும்,

எத்தியோப்பியன் தன் தோலையும், சிவிங்கி தன் புள்ளிகளையும் மாற்றக்கூடுமோ? கூடுமானால் தீமைசெய்யப்பழகின நீங்களும் நன்மைசெய்யக்கூடும்.

கர்த்தர் ஒரு தீர்க்கதரிசியைக் கண்டு இஸ்ரவேலை எகிப்திலிருந்து புறப்படப்பண்ணினார்; தீர்க்கதரிசியினால் காக்கப்பட்டான்.
