புபிலியுவினுடைய தகப்பன் ஜுரத்தினாலும் இரத்தபேதியினாலும் வருத்தப்பட்டுக் கிடந்தான்; பவுல் அவனிடத்திற்குப் போய் ஜெபம்பண்ணி, அவன்மேல் கைகளை வைத்து, அவனைக் குணமாக்கினான்.

புபிலியுவின் தந்தை மிகவும் நோயுற்றுப் படுக்கையிலிருந்தார். அவருக்கு காய்ச்சலும் வயிற்றிளைச்சலும் இருந்தது. ஆனால் பவுல் அவனிடம் சென்று அவனுக்காகப் பிரார்த்தனை செய்தான். பவுல் தனது கைகளை அம்மனிதன் மீது வைத்து அவனைக் குணமாக்கினான்.
