ஆதலால், யோவான் ஞானஸ்நானங்கொடுத்த நாள்முதற்கொண்டு, கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுவானவர் நம்மிடத்திலிருந்து உயர எடுத்துக்கொள்ளப்பட்ட நாள்வரைக்கும்,

“எனவே இன்னொருவன் நம்மோடு சேர்ந்துகொண்டு இயேசு உயிரோடு எழுந்ததற்கு சாட்சியாக இருக்கட்டும். ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு நம்மோடு இருந்தபோது எப்போதும் நம்மோடு கூட இருந்த மனிதர்களில் ஒருவனாக அவன் இருத்தல் வேண்டும். யோவான் ஞானஸ்நானம் கொடுக்கத் தொடங்கியதிலிருந்து இயேசு பரலோகத்திற்கு அழைத்துக்கொள்ளப்பட்டது வரைக்கும் நம்மோடு இருந்தவனாக அவன் இருக்க வேண்டும்” என்றான்.

❮21-22❯ஆகையால் ஆண்டவர் இயேசுவின் உயிர்த்தெழுதலுக்குச் சாட்சியாய் விளங்க, அவர் நம்மிடையே செயல்பட்டகாலத்தில் நம்மோடு இருந்த ஒருவரைச் சேர்த்துக்கொள்ள நாம் கூடி வரவேண்டியது தேவையாயிற்று. யோவான் திருமுழுக்குக் கொடுத்துவந்த காலமுதல் ஆண்டவர் இயேசு நம்மிடமிருந்து விண்ணேற்றமடைந்த நாள்வரை அவர் நம்மோடு இருந்திருக்கவேண்டும்.”⒫
