அவள் இப்படியெல்லாம் செய்தபின்பு: நீ என்னிடத்தில் திரும்பிவா என்று நான் சொன்னேன்; அவளோ திரும்பவில்லை; இதை அவளுடைய சகோதரியாகிய யூதா என்கிற துரோகி கண்டாள்.

ஆமோனுடைய மகனாகிய யோசியா என்கிற யூதாவுடைய ராஜாவின் நாட்களில், அவன் அரசாண்ட பதின்மூன்றாம் வருடத்தில் எரேமியாவுக்குக் கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தை உண்டானது.

கர்த்தர், யூதா நாட்டின் அரசனாக யோசியா இருந்தபோது அந்நாட்களில் எரேமியாவுடன் பேசத்தொடங்கினார். யோசியா, ஆமோன் என்ற பெயருடைய மனிதரின் மகனாகும். கர்த்தர், யோசியாவின் ஆட்சியில் 13வது ஆண்டில் எரேமியாவுடன் பேச ஆரம்பித்தார்.
