பாபிலோன் பிடிபட்டது; பேல் வெட்கப்பட்டது; மேராதாக் நொறுங்குண்டது; அதினுடைய சிலைகள் இலச்சையடைந்தது; அதினுடைய விக்கிரகங்கள் நொறுங்கிப்போயின என்று ஜாதிகளுக்குள்ளே அறிவித்துப் பிரசித்தம்பண்ணுங்கள்; இதை மறைக்காமல் கொடியேற்றி விளம்பரம்பண்ணுங்கள்.

கர்த்தராகிய நான் அபிஷேகம்பண்ணின கோரேசுக்கு முன்பாக ஜாதிகளைக் கீழ்ப்படுத்தி, ராஜாக்களின் இடைக்கட்டுகளை அவிழ்க்கும்படிக்கும், அவனுக்கு முன்பாக வாசல்கள் பூட்டப்படாதிருக்க, கதவுகளைத் திறந்துவைக்கும்படிக்கும், அவனைப்பார்த்து, அவன் வலதுகையைப் பிடித்துக்கொண்டு, அவனுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறதாவது:

இதோ, பூமியை எல்லாம் கெடுக்கிற கேடான பர்வதமே, நான் உனக்கு விரோதமாக வந்து, என் கையை உனக்கு விரோதமாக நீட்டி, உன்னைக் கன்மலைகளிலிருந்து உருட்டி, உன்னை எரிந்துபோன, பர்வதமாக்கிப்போடுவேன் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

இனி ஒருநாள் நோபிலே தங்கி, சீயோன் குமாரத்தியின் பர்வதத்துக்கும், எருசலேமின் மேட்டுக்கும் விரோதமாய்க் கைநீட்டி மிரட்டுவான்.

பூச்சக்கரத்தில் வாசமாயிருக்கிறவர்களும், தேசத்துக் குடிகளுமாகிய நீங்களெல்லாரும் மலைகளின்மேல் கொடியேற்றப்படும்போது பாருங்கள், எக்காளம் ஊதப்படும்போது கேளுங்கள்.

ஜாதிகளுக்கு ஒரு கொடியை ஏற்றி, இஸ்ரவேலில் துரத்துண்டவர்களைச் சேர்த்து, Judeவில் சிதறடிக்கப்பட்டவர்களை பூமியின் நான்கு திசைகளிலுமிருந்து கூட்டுவார்.
