தாவீதும், ஆசாபும், ஏமானும், ராஜாவின் ஞானதிருஷ்டிக்காரனாகிய எதுத்தூனும் கற்பித்தபடியே, ஆசாபின் புத்திரராகிய பாடகர் தங்கள் ஸ்தானத்திலும், வாசல்காவலாளர் ஒவ்வொரு வாசலிலும் நின்றார்கள்; அவர்கள் தங்கள் ஊழியத்தை விட்டு விலகக் கூடாதிருந்தது; லேவியரான அவர்கள் சகோதரர் அவர்களுக்காக ஆயத்தப்படுத்தினார்கள்.

ஆசாப் குடும்பத்தைச் சேர்ந்த லேவியப் பாடகர்கள் அரசன் தாவீது தங்களுக்கு ஒதுக்கிய இடத்தை அடைந்தார்கள். அவர்கள் ஆசாப், ஏமான், அரசனின் தீர்க்கதரிசியான எதுத்தானும் சொன்னபடியே தங்கள் இடங்களில் நின்றுக்கொண்டிருந்தார்கள். வாசல் காவலர்கள் ஒவ்வொரு வாசலிலும் நின்றார்கள். அவர்கள் தங்கள் வேலையைவிட்டு விலகாமல் இருந்தார்கள். ஏனென்றால் அவர்களுக்காக அவர்களின் சகோதரரான லேவியர்கள் பஸ்காவில் அனைத்தையும் தயார் செய்துவிட்டனர்.
