தூண்களுடைய முனையின்மேலுள்ள கும்பங்களுக்கு வலைபோன்ற பின்னல்களும், சங்கிலிபோன்ற தொங்கல்களும், ஒவ்வொரு கும்பத்திற்கும் எவ்வேழாக இருந்தது.

ஆ, நீங்கள் எவ்வளவு மாறுபாடுள்ளவர்கள்! குயவன் களிமண்ணுக்குச் சமானமாக கருதப்படலாமோ? உண்டாக்கப்பட்ட பொருள் தன்னை உண்டாக்கினவரைக்குறித்து: அவர் என்னை உண்டாக்கினதில்லை என்றும்; உருவாக்கப்பட்ட பொருள் தன்னை உருவாக்கினவரைக்குறித்து: அவருக்குப் புத்தியில்லையென்றும் சொல்லத்தகுமோ?

நீங்கள் குழம்பி இருக்கிறீர்கள். குயவனை களிமண்ணுக்குச் சமமாக நீங்கள் நினைக்கிறீர்கள். ஒருவனால் செய்யப்பட்ட பொருள் அவனைப் பார்த்து “நீ என்னை உன்டாக்கவில்லை” என்று சொல்ல முடியும் என்று நீங்கள் நினைக்கிறீர்கள். இது, ஒரு பானை தன்னை உருவாக்கியவனிடம் “நீ புரிந்துகொள்கிறதில்லை” என்று சொல்வது போன்றதாகும்.
