அம்மோன் புத்திரர் தாங்கள் தாவீதுக்கு அருவருப்பானதைக் கண்டபோது, ஆனூனும் அம்மோன் புத்திரரும் மெசொப்பொத்தாமியாவிலும் மாக்கா சோபா என்னும் சீரியரின் தேசத்திலுமிருந்து தங்களுக்கு இரதங்களும் குதிரைவீரரும் கூலிக்கு வரும்படி ஆயிரம்தாலந்து வெள்ளியையும் அனுப்பி,

அம்மோனியர்கள் தமது செயல்களாலேயே தாம் தாவீதிற்குப் பகையானதைக் கண்டனர். பின் ஆனூனும் அம்மோனியர்களும் 75,000 பவுண்டு வெள்ளியை செல விட்டு மெசொப்பொத்தாமியாவிலிருந்து இரதங்களையும் இரதமோட்டிகளையும் வாங்கினார்கள். அவர்கள் இரதங்களையும் இரதமோட்டிகளையும் மாக்கா, சோபா எனும் சீரியரின் நாடுகளிலிருந்தும் பெற்றனர்.
